1)Hi there Bobby Dazzlers! Can you give us a quick Bio so we get a feel for who you are?
I’m Emma, married to Andy and we have 5 kids, 1 dog and 2 goldfish! I used to be a professional cake decorator and ran my own business. I gave that up to concentrate on bringing up my children. I now run Bobby Dazzlers from home..so I can still be there for my kids but also work at something I love doing..best of both worlds :o)

2) You've done exceptionally well selling yarn on WAHM recently, what other things do you create or sell?
Oh allsorts! I hand knit wool covers for cloth nappies, hand knitted play food, baby sleeping bags, hats, scarves. I have also branched out to sell Knit Pro interchangeable needles, stitch markers, and mirasol yarns from Peru. I also dye my yarns to customer specifications, whether it be a painted yarn or dip dyed longies. I also love to make cute embellishments to stitch onto my hand knits, using knitted yarn or 100% wool felt.

3) What inspires you to be creative?
I have always been creative, I love colour and texture and am always coming up with design ideas in my head!

4) What things have a negative effect on you, what I mean is do you ever have a 'Wicked Wahm' day when you feel like just giving it all up?
Oh yes, I sometimes wish there was more hours in the day especially when my customs list is very long..it stresses me out! Then I take a step back and plod on through! lol

5) Who taught you to knit and did you take to it easily?
My mother taught me the basics when I was about 7 years old, I found it quite easy to grasp. I am now a better knitter than my mum!

6) Have you ever had an item disaster?
Only once, I was dip dyeing a pair of longies orange and turquoise and left them in a bit too long, where the colours met in the middle they went an awful mucky brown. No good for my customer, so I had to redo them

7) Do you feel having children hinders your work, helps it...or has no effect at all?
A bit of both really. They hinder me by wanting my attention when I have loads to do..Nick is brilliant at running off with my balls of wool and he loves to “help” when I’m typing on the computer (such as now!) But having my younger kids in cloth nappies I chatted on a cloth forum which introduced me to wool nappy covers. I thought Ooo! I could make those and sell to people on the forum...then BDazzlers was born!

8) Where did the name for your website come from?
It’s an old Yorkshire saying “Oh don’t you look a bobby dazzler?” meaning you are looking smart or bright and
colourful

OK now for something silly...

9) You have 5 minutes before you must leave your house for a whole day.... what are you grabbing?
Ummm my keys, phone, purse, hankie and children!! (because I can never get away without at least one of the blighters!! Lol)

10) What would your 'perfect evening' be?
I’m quite a home bird, I love to snuggle on the sofa with my other half, watch an interesting film and drink a glass or two of good wine!
